Aissa was a godsend for my daughter. She helped her tremendously with her articulation skills, and supported her language development in so many ways. She was always fun and would go the extra mile to be engaging. We miss her and definitely recommend her support!" –Julie
Aissa is a true treasure. My reserved three-year-old daughter immediately took to Aissa during her initial evaluation, asking when we would next see Aissa the minute we left her office. In addition to being talented and professional, Aissa is insightful, energetic, thoughtful and warm. She is so good at understanding what each client needs. My daughter looks forward to her sessions with Aissa all week and is so engaged while with Aissa, which has allowed her to make rapid progress. While we are happy with how quickly my daughter graduated from speech therapy, we are sad not to see Aissa’s smiling face each week. We are forever grateful for the confidence Aissa has instilled in our daughter and the loving approach she displayed. Any family considering working with Aissa should jump at the opportunity to do so!"
I had put off having my son meet with a speech pathologist for a couple of years. When it was finally time and we met Aissa, my son was quite nervous. However, at the end of the first session, I knew we hit the jackpot. My son was smiling ear to ear begging Aissa to stay. I don't think he realized she was there to help him learn because he was having so much fun with her. Aissa's initial meeting with my son enabled her to directly address my son's needs and she eased my concerns regarding any other potential impacts of his speech academically and socially.
Each week, Aissa assigned my son homework based on his progress. Everything she brought to our home was considered his needs. She pushed him appropriately at each session, eventually letting him go when he mastered his struggling sounds. After the last session, my son asked when she was going to come over to play again. He loved working with her and I think the speed of his progress was directly related to the relationship she created by making him feel extremely special. The best part is he has a new found confidence in all communication. We miss you!"
When my daughter's first grade teacher recommended speech therapy, I didn't know where to start. Thankfully, I listened to a good friend and reached out to Aissa Inskeep. From the start, Aissa was fun, passionate, upbeat, positive, supportive, caring, encouraging, approachable and absolutely professional. My daughter responded to her immediately and wanted to do whatever Aissa suggested, including her homework. The toughest day for my daughter was when Aissa told her she graduated. She progressed so well that she no longer needed her services. My daughter considered Aissa a friend and their lessons were their play dates. Without hesitation, I strongly recommend Aissa and would gladly speak to any parent about our experience with her. She's an absolutely a gem!"
Aissa is wonderful with my six year old son. She exudes the perfect balance of work and play and really motivates him to do the work during their sessions together. Her plethora of toys and games don't hurt either! Peter very much enjoys going to see "Miss Aissa" and genuinely wants to improve his areas of weakness…although not SO much as to graduate out of seeing her! She has made effective speech therapy into play for him, not drudgery. He's made tremendous improvements since the beginning and can self-correct and self-monitor thanks to her guidance."
Our family is so grateful to Aissa for helping our daughter learn to speak. Our daughter, now eight, started working with Aissa about five years ago, soon after we became aware of the extent of her speech delay. Together they've worked on intelligibility, conversational speech, syntax, and retelling. Our daughter has made such steady progress over the years, it's hard to believe that when we first came to Aissa, there were only about ten words she could use that a stranger would understand-now she can converse with anyone without us having to "translate" or her having to repeat herself. Despite all their time together, our daughter always looks forward to her sessions with Aissa and considers her family. In addition to her continued speech improvement, Aissa has helped our daughter develop her imagination and have the self confidence to express her thoughts and ideas to others. We've always found Aissa available and helpful when dealing with schools, other therapy providers and insurance. My husband and I recommend Aissa without reservation!"
My son began seeing Aissa Inskeep when he was a little over two years of age and we have seen her over the past four years. When my son Alexander began seeing Aissa, he spoke 2-3 dozen words and no sentences. Aissa began working with Alexander and within a short time he began adding words and then turning those words into sentences. Aissa was extremely patient, caring and figured out a way to engage with Alexander, who is shy and reserved. Aissa provided me with a number of strategies to utilize at home in order to help Alexander. Fortunately Alexander is simply a "late-talker" and Aissa was able to quickly get him up to where he needed to be. That being said, Alexander has had a number of pronunciation related issues and Aissa has continued to work with him on and off over the past four years. She knows when to push Alexander and when to let up. Not only is she a highly skilled speech pathologist, but she offers great insight into children's learning styles and behavior. She is absolutely one of my son's favorite people and he enjoys his time with her immensely."
Aissa is warm, charismatic, and fun. My 3 1/2 year old loves her! He asks about her constantly and looks forward to sessions with her. Aissa's professionalism is unparalleled. She was instantly able to connect with Peter, assess his needs and come up with methods to improve his speech challenges. Aissa's enthusiastic approach keeps her patients (and parents) engaged and committed to progress. From the very beginning, Aissa helped guide me through the transition from services we received from birth to three. From conversing with other therapists to observing Peter at his preschool, Aissa is more than willing to take the steps needed for rapid growth and improvement."
